Veteran's Health Program

Are you someone who has served our country?  Do you know someone currently on active duty or who is a Veteran whom has already fought the battle?  The YMCA of Saginaw is aware of the sacrifices our military and their families make and have created programs that support those who serve.  The reality is, without your help the impact the Y can make is limited.   The YMCA Veterans Health Program funding effort covers just a fraction of the costs of implementing community outreach programs that change lives.  Every donation matters.  Our military, more than ever, need to know that we are thankful and supportive of their sacrifices.

Your support allows children of active duty military to attend YMCA Camp Timbers.  At Camp Timbers youth experience new adventures, connect with friends and nature, and grow in mind, body and spirit.

Donations are used to provide meals for Veterans and their families during monthly events.  Many Veterans are homeless and face difficulty re-adjusting after deployment.

Your willingness and kindness open the door for Veterans to utilize the YMCA's pools, wellness floor and professional staff on their journey to recovery.   The local Aleda Lutz VA Medical Facility, their doctors, and dieticians frequently attend the Y with Veterans participating in aqua rehabilitation, cardio classes, and healthy lifestyle planning.
