2017 Wiregrass BEST Competition

Wiregrass BEST Inc. is a non-profit 501c3, volunteer-based organization with a mission to inspire students to pursue careers in engineering, science and technology through participation in a sports-like, science and engineering-based robotics competition.

The BEST competition originated in North Texas in 1993. In 1997, the organization became a nonprofit. Each fall, over 850 middle and high schools participate in the competition.   

Schools participating in the BEST Robotics Competition compete at no cost and receive materials valued over $2,500. Students are given 42 days to build a robot, construct an exhibit booth, write an engineering notebook and complete a marketing presentation. During the 42 days, students are also given the opportunity to work with mentors and industry professionals.
