The fault is in the stars.

Wendy Marley, age 50, despite never smoking, lost her battle with lung cancer today.  She was by far one of the most loving, giving, sweet-natured, and steadfast friends anyone could know.  Her fight ended only seven short months after the shocking diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer.

Wendy leaves behind a wave of people she has touched over the years, most importantly her husband Arley, and two children - Zoe, 16 and Dylan, 13.  She was a school teacher for many years, and after the devastaing diagnosis she fought hard, hoping to watch her kids graduate high school, a dream that would not be realized.  By helping to make sure Zoe and Dylan have the funds to go to college, we can, at the very least, help Wendy's dream come true. I know that this gift will come back tenfold, and they'll both work tirelessly to make their mom proud.  I'm devastated Wendy could not see her kids grow up, but thankful that we can create a memorial fund that will honor her and all she has done for so many.  We are grateful for any donation, however small, in lieu of flowers, as we believe that while flowers are beautiful, so much more can be done by planting the seeds of a good education.

Thank you for your gift, your friendship, your love, and honoring Wendy today.
