The West Long Branch Community Center, Inc is a non-profit corporation completely dedicated to the development and maintenance of a center for borough residents.
We fear that due to lack of funding, we may be forced to turn the property over to the town and that it will ultimately be demolished. The residents will lose a valuable gathering place full of memories and West Long Branch history.
The center is used at no-cost by civic organizations like the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts, various school groups, The West Long Branch Recreation Commission and is a polling place for voting. The center is also provided to AA and other support groups at a greatly reduced rate.
The beautiful, historical building was built in the late 1800's. It was bought and last restored by the Lions Club in 1953.
In order to continue our mission of making the center available, we raise barely enough revenue to cover basic operations through rentals to private parties. To make the center attractive and a beautiful place for residents, we are in desperate need of funds to maintain and improve the physical building which is deteriorating due to its age.
Your donations will help us replace the old Heating and Air Conditioning System, remediate flooding related problems, repair our leaky roof , replace the worn and damaged flooring and make other improvements.
