The Wayne Dupree Show wants your help to upgrade it's radio show equipment and help fund our attempt to take our show nationally on AM radio with syndication.
You have listened to our show on Spreaker, Tune-In Radio, YouTube (with the Right Side Broadcasting Network) and now Periscope. Hutch Bailie Jr and Wayne Dupree have been doing online radio since 2012. We have been to major conferences and you helped the entire WAARadio team get to the GOP convention to cover it from a grassroots perspective.
We were planning on upgrading to a new desktop that would handle just the station software and Skype plus a backup laptop and one for the road events we do, but it’s evident that we need to take action right now to keep our shows on the air. (as you notice, some of our shows are cut short when the desktop shuts down.)
To do that, we need to raise $7000 to replace the main computer, a back-up laptop and other equipment we use for our all-important LIVE events. We also need to purchase an additional camera so we can have both hosts visible during the shows via Right Side Broadcasting. The cost of that camera is $1500.
Items to be purchased:
1 Desktop Computer for Podcast/Radio Broadcasting - $3000
1 Laptop for Mobile - $2500 (to replace current)
1 Video Camera - $1700
Studio Lights for Both Hosts - $300
Phone System Upgrade for callers - $200
We also have the opportunity to syndicate our show to AM radio nationally but that costs $1500 a month and we need to walk in the door with $3000 for the first two months.
Reminder, we have been working hard every day without the influx of cash by corporations or organizations. Most if not all of our equipment was purchased by us years ago and we never expected we would be at this stage to make a huge difference.
You have been able to count on us to bring you the honest news day after day for the last four years. We've interviewed Presidential candidates, newsmakers, and ground-shakers. We've held marathon radio shows during two huge Monday night riots (one that included Ferguson). You have been the spark that has kept us going and now.
Your ability to share The Wayne Dupree Show has opened up so many doors, in 2014, the Wayne Dupree Show was named Podcast Of the Year. In 2015, Wayne was named Blogger Of the Year. Without you, there is no show. Dupree has said over and over again, "You are us and we are you," and we truly believe that.
Once again, in upgrading our equipment we'll be able to improve the deliverability of our shows and offer more opportunities for everyone to cover events live and talk with the leaders of the conservative movement.
The ability to reach more listeners through terrestrial radio from the east coast to the west coast is one we can't pass up.
Most of you have grown with us day after day, month after month, year after year. We are a far cry from where we started and the future is bright. Help us exceed our potential with a contribution.
