Violet's Victory-ear polyp surgery
Tax deductible
Violet came into our care at four weeks weighing only 12 ounces. Her loving foster home nurtured her through upper respiratory infections and malnourishment. Violet was ready for adoption. Who could resist such a beautiful girl? But then she developed a massive ear infection. When the vet looked in her ear, she saw something unexpected. A CT scan showed Violet had a massive polyp, which had completely filled her middle ear and was pushing to her outer ear. The SPCA of Northern Virginia has seen this before and knows that this will require life-saving, delicate, expensive surgery. The good news is that the surgeon gives a 90% assurance that Violet will make a full recovery with no relapse. Violet is scheduled for surgery on November 17.
