Victoria, TX Public Schools Fund

UPDATE:
BIG NEWS: The WE Charity has kindly matched ALL our monetary donations and last week, the Victoria ISD Education Foundation received the matching funds. This brings our total up to over $14,000 raised!!! Many thanks to the ELC PTO, Amvet Boulevard Elementary School PTO, the NAMS Student Council and the NAMS FOR Club for organizing fundraisers and spirit days! We also want to thank the MANY private businesses and individuals who donated. Your generosity is amazing! Thank you.  ❤️

In a letter from the Victoria ISD, the district writes: “On behalf of the entire Victoria Independent School District, please accept our heartfelt appreciation regarding your recent donation to our Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. We are deeply touched by your caring spirit and outpouring of support for our students, staff, families, and community.... We, the Board of Trustees and the Victoria Independent School Distrct, would like to thank you for your belief in our children, your commitment to excellence and for your service as a Champion for our Children.”

Many thanks.

Original campaign story:
Following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, many of us asked ourselves how we could help those affected. We wondered what WE could do as a community to positively impact the lives of others in a meaningful way. The North Attleboro Charitable Group, a subcommittee of the Early Learning Center PTO, was formed to find a  direct and meaningful way to impact another community and with your help, our community CAN make a difference one community to another.

Until November 20th, the NA Charitable Group is sponsoring a community fundraiser called the Victoria, Texas Public Schools Fund: A Hurricane Harvey Recovery Campaign. The Victoria ISD is currently in the process of rebuilding and replacing items such as books, shelving, flooring, tables, chairs, and other necessities that were severely damaged in several of the libraries in their district. You can check out all the details on their website.

Here’s how YOU can help:

1. Donate! Donate now through GoFundMe.com or for cash and check donations, please see details below.

2. Buy a book! Visit the Amazon Book Wish List and purchase a book to replace one that was ruined during the hurricane. Books will ship directly to the schools where they will find new homes in the libraries affected.

3. Share this page with your family, friends, and neighbors. Help us get the word out!

4. Like and share our Facebook page !

The storm has passed, but the need is still there. Please consider supporting this effort.

Thank you!
