On May 3, 2016, voters from across the City of Baltimore joined together with one VOICE (Voters Organized for the Integrity of City Elections) to demand answers as the dozens of voting irregularities that took place during the city's 2016 Primary elections.
Our issues were met with resistance by the political status quo, but were validated when the state Board of Elections stepped in and decertified the city election results on May 11th. During the next days few days of the reconciliation process, the state found even more troubling issues, from there being more ballots being cast then voters registered at polling locations to over 1,100 questionable provisional ballots cast that were not certain to have come from lawful city voters.
The state allowed the city to re-certify the election results a week later, even though almost 75% of the city's 296 precincts weren't able to certify their results with any degree of certainty. Therefore, members of VOICE filed a federal complaint in the U.S. District Court of Maryland on June 1st to ask that a Judge look at the evidence in question and declare the tainted process and its results null and void, allowing for a new Primary Election to take place this September, ahead of the upcoming November General Election - in order to ensure that every vote was counted and that every ballot cast came from an eligible city voter.

The individuals who filed this complaint on behalf of all the voters of Baltimore, are average, hard working citizens who are fighting an injustice that needs to be made right, but have to pay the legal expenses incurred by this process, so we are calling on the citizens of Baltimore to assist us in this legal battle against the galiath giant known as big government - who will have endless resources to defend their gross negligence.
