All Good Things Family Moving Fund

This past March, a series of Ventura County building code complaints were filed by a single individual against home and land owners in the Ojai community. You can read this individual's statement here. This resulted in the displacement of people who have relied on affordable housing to survive and thrive in this region and run their small businesses. This includes us in the All Good Things Organic Seeds family and Deer Girl Designs, Jessica's jewelry business.

Due to the lack of affordable housing in the Ojai region, we made a very tough choice to move our lives up to Oregon. This fundraiser will help us recoup the costs associated with displacement and resettlement.

These costs include: 
-A moving truck for a disabled family member who resides with us and a separate moving truck for our businesses.
-Gas money for shuttling two vehicles up north. 
-The cost of return flights from Oregon to California to move our vehicles and to cover several round trip flights to search for housing.
-Maintaining and paying rent on two housing situations simultaneously during our transition. Specifically, this means first, last and deposit on a new home, the cost of setting up utilities, while also covering our expenses down here in Ojai. 
-Alternations and amendments to make our new home suitable to our workspace. 
-Making up for lost revenue: this displacement happened in the peak season for our businsseses and we've not been able to work full time for nearly the past six weeks.
