UTC Tents for the Homeless 2016/17

Without tents, some people experiencing homelessness will suffer crippling injuries, even die.
Uptown Tent City, a small group of local homelessness advocates need your help for our neighbors, people that live under the Wilson, Lawrence, and Foster Viaducts of Lake Shore Drive, and in the nearby parks along the lakefront in Chicago's Uptown Neighborhood.
These folks need tents as a short-term defense against the elements, until they can get permanent housing. They also need tarps and other warmth items.
Last season UTC raised and spent $10,000 on tents/tarps/etc. and still ran out...
A harsh winter is predicted and almost upon us. We need funds now!
