Undoing Racism Workshop - Dutchess

"The oneness of humanity is a spiritual truth abundantly confirmed by science. Recognition of this truth compels the abandonment of all prejudices of race, color, creed, nation, and class–of “everything which enables people to consider themselves superior to others.” The principle of the oneness of humankind “is no mere outburst of ignorant emotionalism or an expression of vague and pious hope…. It does not constitute merely the enunciation of an ideal…. It implies an organic change in the structure of present-day society, a change such as the world has not yet experienced."

We hope to be part of that change.  

We are ENJAN (End the New Jim Crow Action Network) and RUC (The Race Unity Circle of Dutchess County) .   

The weekend of October 26-28, 2017,  we will bring three trained facilitators from the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond, to the Hudson Valley, to conduct a two and a half day workshop entitled  UNDOING RACISM.   Enrollment will be open to the community (limited to 40 participants).   Expenses will include facilitators' salary, airfare, lodging, facility, meals and miscellaneous.   If we can raise just $4,000 a month between now and October 15, 2017, we will meet our goal.
