On September 19, 2017, a devastating 7.1 earthquake struck Mexico City and surrounding areas in Mexico. There were hundreds of casualties, many buildings collapsed and thousands of others suffered severe damage. Many residents have lost everything; some are living in shelters and help has not reached all those who are suffering.
To help our neighbors in need, the University of the Incarnate Word, has created a GoFundMe account. All donations collected will be distributed by CIW, our Mexico City campus, to individuals who have been impacted by the earthquake.
The need is overwhelming and we are asking for everyone’s help to reach our goal. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those who have suffered so much.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Please keep our brothers and sisters in Mexico in your thoughts and prayers as we work to help them recover from this devastating tragedy.
