Mazal Tov & L'Chaim from Yerushalayim!
After 5 and a half years of knowing, growing, and loving one another, the time has come that Tziporah and I are engaged to be married.
We are so grateful to have loving families, patient friends, and an unbelievable support network that has brought us to this exciting time.
For those of you who don't know us well, we are both 23 years old, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and met shortly after moving to Israel, where we have spent the last 6 years. It is truly amazing that even though we grew up in such a small community, we never met. Rather, we needed to come to the "Holy Land".
Throughout our stay here, we've accomplished a lot of great things. Be it, Tziporah's completion of a degree in Psychology, my 3 years of sobriety, a small Home Maintenance company that we built, and of course, our beautiful journey together, bringing us to this point.
We are looking for an apartment in Monsey, NY, where we can join and be an asset to the community. Our hopes and dreams for the future are to start a treatment center for those that struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, so we may pass on what has been given to us. Living in Israel, as many of you know, can be very tough sometimes, financially. It is known as the price you pay to live in Eretz Yisroel. However, with G-d's help, hard work around the clock and diligent work-ethics, we've been able to make it on our own as well as save enough for our trip back home to NY.
The expense of a wedding is currently unimaginable to us. As much as I would love to give Tziporah the castle-top wedding that every girl dreams of (G-d knows she deserves it...) we are acting on budget and always live by our means. Our amazing families will be contributing what they can. B'ezrat Hashem, with their help and that of this campaign, we will make it!!!
Giving Tzedaka for the cause of Hachnasas Kallah is a beautiful thing. Preferably, consider this campaign not only as a charitable contribution, but more as an investment in us, our future, and our Simcha. Please note that all of the proceeds will go toward our wedding/Sheva Brachos expenses . If there are any leftovers, they will go toward our new beginning and getting settled in a new city.
We are so excited and have never been happier. Eager to get married, we are shooting for a mid-September wedding and will keep everyone posted via email and personal invitations with more details.
