This beautiful family, our dear friends, have been displaced by the eruptions on Kilauea, unable to return to their home and unsure of what the future holds. Their house is on Mohala where the first fissure opened up. They have no insurance and no way of knowing when they can return.
Because their home is so close to the active fissures, they were unable to return to their house to retrieve any personal belongings.
George is a builder/ landscaper. Cheryl is a homemaker mother of three children and yoga instructor. They are always there for their friends, and have been actively engaging in the Puna community for 12 years.
