Good Deed Punished: Tucker Swallowed a Fish Hook
My good friend, Amber, and I decided to do a good deed this morning and pick up all of the garbage, dog poop, fishing line, old bait and dead fish at Horseshoe Lake (Chico, Ca) this morning. We collected 80+ lbs of trash. When we were finished I loaded Tucker in the truck and went to wipe some drool from his mouth but it was fishing line. My vet took me in right away but couldn't remove it (stuck in a fold in the larynx) so I had to take him to another vet that had the tools to go down deeper with a camera. This price does not include any actual surgery which the vet is hoping will not be needed (I turned down the blood work for $400). Tucker is still at the vet right now. Please share this request, especially with the people that fish and walk their dogs at Horseshoe Lake. Thank You
