At TripleA Animal Shelter Marbella/San Pedro de Alcántara, we take care of approximatly 500 animals which are abandoned or abused dogs and cats.
Lately we have had an increase of badly abused dogs and several victims of accidents.
We do not have the proper equipment to make an initial diagnosis or give treatment so we have to go to other places like hospitals and veterinarians which are costly.
Several of these new dogs need urgent operations and hospital care - and these extra costs are putting a terrible strain on the on-going, already stretched, funds. And as you all know, we do not get Government support or subsidies.
We are currently aiming to purchae an Echo-Scanner and Laser Treatment equipment so that we can diagnose immediately and start treating injuries quicker and more efficiently, both medically and economically.
We still need 1.500€ to be able to buy the Echo-Scanner and 375 € for the laser treatment machine.
And here we have some examples of animals who need some donations to help with their immediate needs:
A) WOLFIE:
Wolfie is a small 11 week old pup who needed a serious operation after being badly bitten and could not eat. We collected for his first operation, however complications have put him back into the hospital and we need another 1.200€ to cover those extra costs.
He is fighting for his life .......Please Help !
B). ROMY
Romy was one of 4 tiny pups, 4 days old and found in a garbage bag, only Romy and her brother Buddy survived. Unfortunatly, we have just discovered that she has a genetic problem with her hind legs and needs two operations for both legs to be able to keep on walking.
The first on February 15th.when she'll be only 4 months old ! After rehabilitation of around 8 weeks, she will have to have the second operation.
It will take months for her to get better but she deserves that chance after surviving the garbage bag.
The medical costs will be about 1.000€ to start her off.

So we need 4.100€ to cover the immediate medical and hospital cost !
However, daily, we get animals that need special medical care, food, etc. We would like to use this account to save funds for those extra medical costs, treatment, etc. We will keep you informed on the use of the money and the State of Affairs with the sick animals.

Triple A is a non-sacrifice Animal Shelter in Marbella, Southern Spain. They have been running for around 25 years. Apart from local adoptions, they find homes for the animals all around Europe.There are currently overwhelmed by around 600 hundred cats and dogs These animals are left there, found or brought in by the local Police often in a lamentable state.I repeat that this is a non-kill Shelter and much care and re habilitation is given to help these animals live a decent life and have the chance to be adopted.
There is the possibility to virtually sponsor an animal, to become a member of Triple A or send a donation directly to them at www.tripleamarbella.org
The immediate and urgent reason for the original appeal has been solved with everyone's donations but it is of course an on-going necesity to maintain the high standards that this shelter and so give the animals a better chance of finding Forever Homes.
