Trailer for HIA Film Project Needed!

Trailer for still needed for the "Homeless In America Film" Project!

In 2010,spring, I lost my home.On Thanksgiving,2011,my small truck was damaged to 'total' status in an accident, my first accident ever. Since then I have lived in a tent for 6 months, a spare room of a generous friend for one winter, an old tiny travel trailer circa 1959 for two summers, and the couch of the good friend whose land the old,tiny trailer and tent were on for two winters. (All I had to offer him was respite care, baby sitting and KP duty while his wife was passing from cancer)

Due to financial inefficiencies,I suffered a total mental/emotional crash after finishing college, which I began at age 50. With eight and a half years of good training, my hope was to gain new employment that did not require the kind of physical output my previous work life (construction,kitchen work etc) demanded of an injured back and knees. To my complete shock, after college,I discovered that if you are over a certain age, you are no longer a candidate for conventional employment.

Studio Arts Certificate,Digital Media, History and writing were my main focus studies. After college I did all I could to pay the rent for my mobile home lot.I spent all of my savings while job hunting. I baked bread in my own kitchen and sold it on the street. I walked nearly 80 miles, all totaled, picking up recyclable materials to cash in. A few thoughtful folks also send me personal gifts to assist me. When it was no longer enough, I lost my right to that mobile home space. I had to sell my lovely home as I had no means to park it elsewhere. Losing my home, and subsequently my two dear pets of many years,has cost me much both mentally and emotionally. Now that I am fully recovered and wanting a real life again I realized that a dream that sent me to college can Still Come True! I really do believe this!

The little 1992 Mazda truck I own is in need of some repairs I simply can't afford on the engine,and some that are just not possible. The passenger door is compressed permanently shut and has no glass in it. If it makes another 500 miles,I'll be lucky. For the cost of repairs I could be driving something in good condition and able to pull a medium sized travel trailer.

My goals;
1. upgrade to a larger truck with low miles and a good repair record.

GOOD NEWS! THE NEW TRUCK, 2000 CHEVY TAHOE, HAS BEEN ACHIEVED. THANK YOU SO MUCH! update on Feb 8.

A new travel trailer would give me a place larger than the 15 by 8 foot trailer with the very leaky roof and makeshift door with three broken windows I currently roll up in at night.

STILL WORKING ON THE REST OF THE FUNDING FOR THE NEW TRAILER! updated on Feb 8.

2. With these in hand, I want to travel and use my cameras, still and motion, combined with my editing, and publishing skills to document in print and video the plight of the many people who's stories are much like mine, or worse. With this documentation, I can help to raise awareness in our America of what we are all going through and how people like myself would like to change that. I will gladly share the materials with creditable groups seeking to raise awareness and doing work to create empowerment for the homeless of our country.

I will have a couple of photographs posted here later to demonstrate the truth of my situation. If my Plan seems like something you feel you could help with, I will be forever grateful...and there will be perks upon the gathering of visual materials and publishing of them...books, t-shirts, etc
