Welcome United Family, Friends and Undercover Boss viewers! Let’s get behind Tori!
On May 19, 1992, life changed forever. Not only was Tori, a beautiful baby girl, brought into the world – but she arrived 5 weeks and 3 days too soon. Being so premature, Tori was born with underdeveloped lungs. She wasn’t breathing at birth and was immediately intubated and transferred to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she remained for two weeks – the initial two days without her mother who was recovering from a c-section in a separate hospital.
Throughout Tori’s life, she and her family have met with doctors, specialists, occupational therapists and physical therapists all with the same goal – determine a diagnosis and focus on providing the care she needs to develop alongside her peers; a tall order for a special needs child and her two young parents juggling a multitude of doctor and therapy appointments alongside careers which were imperative to pay their always-rising medical and specialized daycare bills.
Tori has a great spirit and a huge heart. While she is high functioning, she requires constant assistance with daily living and activities. She has a limited memory and can’t comprehend numbers or length of time so, even short periods away from those she trusts can make her extremely anxious. Tori lives with intellectual disability, mild autism, severe sleep apnea, chronic constipation, severe anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, along with several other medical conditions.
Please support this beautiful girl and her family. Any donation would be instrumental in securing the care and support she needs for a thriving future.
