The Klaus Pittman Transplant Fund

Carl (Klaus) Pittman has a true passion for family, friends and everyone he worked with in the ski/outdoor industry. Klaus needs our help.

Klaus  found a home at Loulou's Ski Shop in Spokane Washington to start his career. After almost10 years as a retail employee, manager and buyer Klaus joined Leading Edge Sports based in Woodinville WA on Januuary 1st 1997.

Leading Edge is a sales agency representing awesome brands like: Swix/Toko - Rollerblade - Pivot - Atlas/Tubbs - Bison and KUHL. For 22 years Klaus called on and serviced specialty retailers in  Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana.

In January of 2018 Klaus became ill as a liver and kidney disease developed and disabled his ability to travel. Close to a year later with the onset of HRS Klaus was faced with an uncurbable situation and was given a 'week to live' this past January. Many of you were contacted and reached out with some amazing comments and support.

Some how some way Klaus is now at the University of Washington in Seattle and on 3/14/19 was approved for an immediate Liver Transplant! That said Klaus does not like the spotlight and definitely does not want to be a burden or EVER ask for help but it's time to help. 

"Family" consisted or ALL the people Klaus worked with and no rep has ever had the passion/love for the brands they were part of.... in fact I'm not sure if I ever saw him in a non-branded shirt!

As an overachiever (in some things) I set a pretty lofty goal of $22,000 based on 22 years with our agency to help will some of the expenses associated with a transplant and 3 months of living in Seattle close to the doctors.

100% of the funds raised will be directed to Klaus, Heather and the Pittman Family.
