Prayers for Princess Teiya Camille
BJ & Tarra
Today was the final day in the first stage of radiation which was full cranium and full spine. The next 17 days will consist of radiation to the spine and a boost to where Teiya's original tumor developed. She has been such a trooper during this part of treatment and has not complained once. This past week she went to Chamorro practice and LOVES it! It's such a joy seeing her dance and interacting with kids and basically enjoying life. On the weekend there are no appointments and she is de accessed :) The only thing letting the rest of world know
she has cancer is her beautiful bald head. That word....it takes a lot out of me to say or even wrote the C word because I hate it so much. We continue to remain positive and stay strong on our faith because HOPE, LOVE, FAITH, FAMILY, & FRIENDS is what keeps us moving along. Thank you for all prayers and love #teamteiya #nevergiveup #blessed #princesswarrior
We got results back from her MRI and Lumbar Puncture and both show no signs of cancer cells. Thanks be to God. We also went over her radiation plan which now includes a daily low dose chemo of Carboplatin which her oncologists advised studies show radiation has been more effective with this chemo med given prior to radiation. My nerves are a bit uneasy as this is new to us, Teiya did not do radiation during her previous treatment and I'm praying she takes this well and the side effects are not so harsh on her. There's a lot that goes into her radiation plan and her team is always keeping us well informed. Please pray for a smooth 30 days for Teiya and that her body handles this radiation like the champ that she is.
We love you all and thank you for continuously praying for our baby girl! #teamteiya #braincamcer #warriorprincess
Today we met with her wonderful Oncologists and NP to
go over her MRI and lumbar puncture results. We are so thankful and blessed that these past two rounds of chemo cleared her spine of the remaining cancer cells and her brain continue to be clear of cancer cells lumbar puncture results showed no cancer cells as well. Tears of joy! We then went over the next steps for treatment which is radiation, we opted out of radiation in 2015 due to Teiya's age and at that point it wasn't required but more so we had a choice. This time because the tumor came back, radiation is necessary and it takes a lot of planning and discussions on all that goes into it. We are confident in our team and especially her Oncologist Dr. Margol who we love beyond words along with her neurosurgeon and all who continue to care for our warrior princess.
I can never seem to really put into words how blessed we are to have you all in our life. In no way is this easy but we have the best family, friends, and prayer warriors around. BJ and I love you all!
