TeamWalkerPete - Nick Peters

$21,380 of $25,000 goal

Raised by 158 people in 29 months
Nick Peters is 17 years old. He was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 10. His family has spent countless hours in and out of the hospital and have not complained once. God has been with them every step of the way and your prayers have helped a ton. He is such an inspiration to me and I just pray that you will open your hearts and donate to Nick and his family and join him in his fight against childhood cancer. His dad, Mr. Peters works in Harlingen and his mom, Judi is living in Houston with Nick who has been at Texas Children's Hospital for several weeks. They are a wonderful family and they deserve all the help they can get. Please, donate.

First of all, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has donated to this campaign thus far! We have raised $18,481.00 for this beautiful family! As you all may or may not know, the month of September is dedicated to Childhood Cancer Awareness! Nick Peters is the perfect example of a superhero without a cape. He's strong; he's a fighter. I encourage you all to like and share this post today, and please donate! The amount of stress and emotional agony this family has been through is heart breaking and I pray that God will turn this mess into a miracle. If you've seen the updates from the TeamWalkerPete Facebook Page or from Judi Peters, you've been on this emotional journey with them. We love you, Nick! #PrayForNick

Nick was readmitted to TX Children's Hospital on 7/3 and moved to PICU on 8/2 with multiple complications where he remains. While he is currently on multiple medications and pain meds, a ventilator, continuous dialysis, plasma exchange 3x/wk, we continue to pray and rejoice in the tiniest of improvements that will get him nearer to complete healing in God's time.

As many of you may know, I started this GoFundMe page for Teamwalkerpete - Nick Peters about two months ago. While we have almost met our goal of $10K, I have raised our goal to $25K. Nick has recently undergone multiple surgeries on his heart and liver and has been experiencing an agonizing amount of pain in his journey to ‪#‎KickCancersAss‬. His medical bills are only piling higher. Although he was supposed to be home by Day 100 after his transplant, he has now been in the hospital for a little over a month, now resting at Day 110, with an end not quite in sight. (He currently rests in PICU). Nick has gone multiple weeks without any form of food, besides the TPN bag that runs through his IV everyday. My challenge to you is to PLEASE like and share this page so that more people may have the opportunity to help support Nick in his fight against childhood cancer. We all know what it's like to struggle. While we may never experience what Nick is feeling, any donation would be greatly appreciated by him and this family. You guys are so amazing and your love and support is overwhelming astonishing. Thank you all so much! ‪#‎PrayForNick‬
