Team Ontario.. the road to Montreal

The U16A Sault Ice Hawks have been competing together since 2009, and though they have seen some modest success over the years..... it all paled in comparison to what these girls accomplished in becoming the top U16A division team in Ontario. They now have the privilege to be named TEAM ONTARIO and represent our city and province in the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships held just outside Montreal in Pierrefonds Quebec. This is the first time in the 30 year history of the Sault Ringette club that a U16A team based out of the Sault has become Team Ontario. What an accomplishment!
The provincial championships took place over the March 16-19 weekend and the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships occur April 13-16. With only having a few short weeks to prepare, we are asking for any help to get these amazing girls to Montreal. This is a once in a lifetime dream come true for these girls who have worked tirelessly for this opportunity. All donations will be used for tournament fees, transportion from Sault Ste Marie to Montreal (11 hours!!), and accomodations and food for the players.
