Leo "Little Hulk" Arnold's Fund

Donation protected

At 20 months old, Leo was diagnosed with stage 4, high risk, abdominal neuroblastoma and Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS). The neuroblastoma was quite large, had encased his adrenal glands, and was encroaching on his right kidney; there was cancer present in his bone marrow as well.

OMS is a neurological disorder that was triggered by the neuroblastoma and the result of an autoimmune process involving the nervous system. It is an extremely rare condition, affecting as few as 1 in 10,000,000 people per year, and 2 to 3% of children with neuroblastoma.

For Leo, the OMS has affected his muscle and motor control and causes irritability and malaise. Leo cannot walk or stand independently, and is prone to irrational, violent rages. Leo's cancer treatment will include: chemotherapy, radiation, apheresis, stem cell
transplant, multiple surgeries, and last about a year.

Once his chemotherapy has concluded and there is no sign of cancer, he can begin treatment for OMS, which can last up to three years. Leo has started treatment and has responded well. He has a strong will, is a fighter, and refuses to back down from or give in to anything this cancer has thrown at him. For this we have nicknamed him, "The Little Hulk". We humbly ask for your support to help fund the medical and
supplementary costs associated with Leo's treatment.

Sincerely,

Team Leo
