#TeamAustin-Austin Gee's Fund

This is a fund to help with medical expenses for my nephew, Austin Gee. Austin is a 17 year-old Senior at Lebanon High School. Austin became sick on November 20th with what we thought was a respiratory virus. After a couple of doctor visits, and not feeling any better, Austin ended up at Vanderbilt Children's hospital in Nashville, TN, where it was discovered that Austin had a very enlarged heart. He has been diagnosed with dialated cardiomyopathy and has been placed on the heart transplant list. He is currently in the cardiac ICU at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. He will be having surgery early next week to place a ventricular assist device that will act as a bridge until a heart is found.

As you can imagine this is devasting news for our family. Austin's maternal grandfather passed away 19 years ago awaiting a heart transplant. In many ways, this is so similar. Austin is a fighter and is perfectly healthy except for his heart. We know he can fight this fight and get through this. 

Austin is a great kid and is so very important to our family. He is a kind, thoughtful, christian young man who means so much to so many people. He has the most tender spirit. Any funds you are able to give would be so appreciated. Most of all we ask for you to please pray for Austin, Amy (his mom), and Brian (his dad) for complete healing, peace, and strength to get through this battle.
