Rotary Foreign Exchange to Taiwan

My name is Ethan Lam and I'm so grateful and excited to be spending my junior year of High School as a foreign exchange student in Taiwan this fall. Even though I am being sponsored by Rotary 100 in Phoenix there are many expenses I am responsible for. Rather than have my parents pay for all of this I would like to raise the money myself. Some of the expenses:
Round Trip Airfare
Medical Insurance
Special Clothing
Travel Visa
Extracurricular school activities
Gifts for my Host Families (3)
Pins to exchange with other rotary exchange students
Additional travel and sightseeing
Some of the reasons I want to be an exchange student are:
1. Experience a new culture
2. Learn a new languange (Mandarin)
3. Meet new friends from around the world
4. Have a second family
5. Personal development
6. Become a citizen of the WORLD

As a kid from a family of divorce I have spent the last 4 yours moving every other week between my mom and dad’s house. This does take a toll and I am so looking forward to be able to stay in one place for at least 3 months.
I am offering several perks for your donations and will be so grateful for your help. I am also willing to work for this. So if you live in the Phoenix area please contact me if you can use some help with:
Babysitting, dog sitting, housesitting, dog walking, manual labor, running errands, computer work or yardwork just to name a few.
I know it will take a lot to achieve my goal so even if you are not able to assist me I hope you will pass this on and share it with your friends.
