TX went several years without a State contest to show off all the amazing top level talent we have in the area. In 2015 Radical Seas jumped up and took the reigns giving us a great contest in Austin. In 2016/2017 we had the Tx State yoyo contest in DFW area in conjunction with the local Dallas/Ft. Worth club, Lone Star Spinners .
We grew in size from 100+ to 300+ attendees and maintained our official National Yoyo League event. the growth and talent has been amazing! We collaborated with the local Kendama scene to provide an experience not quite like any other contest. We have been able to feature more Sponsored Pro players each year and cant wait to grow our local contest scene. DFW is particularly great because it is central to North,South,East, and West Texas. We draw the best players from as far as NM, OK, LA, KS, & AR!! We have also been working with an amazing venue to provide enough space to practice and show off all day!
We work with great local companies to provide cost effective, comprehensive personal on site sound and lighting. Our local club members do online promotion, physical flyers and events leading up to the contest!
From trophies, sound, judges, to marketing, websites, and prizes. The whole contest can start to add up financially. I've had many people ask how they can help?!
Fiscal support is currently most needed to provide the best possible experience for our attendees. Its been hard to fiscally support alone and i know we have enough great people to provide a top tier event.
Over several years of organizing this event we have worked with many great locals to get cost down, done things ourselves, or had sponsors. We have drastically reduced costs over the years and do what we can when we can ourselves.
***Long term Goal would be to turn the contest into a nonprofit. It would open a lot of doors for corporate sponsorship, where the contest would fund itself year to year***

501c3 incorperated status- $3-400

Including banner placement, online marketing, videos, and on stage shout outs!
