TJ's Medical and Travel Fund

On May 27, 2013 our fun, bubbly, full of life two year old was diagnosed with a Craniopharyngioma. Craniopharyngioma is a tumor surrounded by cysts. The Craniopharyngioma TJ has is affecting his pituitary gland, brain stem, hypothalamus, and optic nerve. TJ had to undergo emergency surgery on May 30, 2013 which took 12 hours. TJ recovered from this quickly with little side effects. Six weeks after the surgery he began showing signs the cysts had started to grow again. After comparing recent scans to the scans after the first surgery, it was discovered that the cysts had grown quicker than the doctors had expected and were larger than before the surgery. TJ underwent another emergency surgery on July 15, 2013 at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. This surgery took 13 hours. This surgery caused TJ to have serious side effects. He developed Diabetes Insipidus as well as him not being able to open his left eye. After reviewing scans after TJs second surgery doctors discovered that the cysts had grown yet again. TJ underwent another emergency surgery on August 7, 2013 during radiation. Tj has now undergone two more surgeries, to sew open the eyelid and have two teeth extracted. He has also suffered nerve damage in his right leg.
During this treatment process his parents need our support both spiritually and financially as they will have to travel back and forth to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital several times a year. The family being supported by only one parent working is struggling to get to St. Jude's for regular check ups and further treatment. No donation is too small and it is greatly appreciated.
