The LOUISIANA WALL, a project by VOID , aims to illuminate and activate the south west corner of University Ave and Louisiana St, in North Park, San Diego. This artisitic placemaking intervention will transform the current blighted corner into a positive and enlightening urban experience for both locals and visitors.
Through a creative collaboration with local artist, Michael James Armstrong , VOID intends to provide a visually stimulating experience for all residents of the neighborhood and all visitors who pass by. In a wider perspective, we believe this project will assist to enhance local business and deepen the rich cultural life that is so valuable to the community.
In order to make this project a reality, we first need to reach our monetary goal of $35,000 USD. VOID has partnered with fiscal sponser and non-profit, San Diego Creative Foundation , for this exciting project. Which means that all donations are 100% Tax Deductable!
We believe this is a way for our community to feel that each and every one of us made this project a reality. We all have a role in reactivating this space and we can all take in the reward and credit of revitalizing and invigorating this space and this is a way that we can all easily contribute. Your participation will help enhance the experience of the North Park community through thousand of eyes everyday and add, in a permanent way, to the lasting success of our dedication to the arts in public spaces.
In addition, each individual or entity who participates in a contribution of $500 or more, will recieve their name in a permanant place, and as part of the installation piece.
