After over six years of struggling with infertility and other failed adoption attempts, Lee and Emily are pursuing an infant domestic adoption!
We have faced adversity and disappointment over the years as we tried to grow our family. Our friends and family have walked with us through tears, disappointment, and pain, but in spite of our struggles we are still following the path we feel called to, which is to grow our family through the gift of adoption.
Our journey started when at 23 years old, Emily was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Premature Ovarian Failure that has brought her ongoing health issues over the years. After Emily was diagnosed with POF, we started thinking of ways to adopt and tried a non-traditional approach called Embyro Adoption about two years ago. But after two successful Embyro transfers totaling seven embryos, the result was two miscarriages and heartache. But even in our pain, we continued in our journey, working locally to help homeless and addicted women in the Tennessee area with the opportunity to provide their young children a safe place to rest while they found a better living situation. We had several calls over the course of a year, but for different reasons those doors were closed, time after time. It was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least, and we took a year off to seek wisdom and growth. Now, time has healed our hearts and we are ready to press forward in domestic adoption!

You are providing a way for us to nurture and care for a baby. When you give to this cause, you are helping a birth mother by allowing her to create a relationship with us as she places her baby in our forever home. Our need is great and it will take every single person in our lives to bring ONE child home. This fund covers our home study, paperwork processing fees, traveling costs, all legal fees, and medical costs for the baby and the birth mother.
