Help Trent Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Trent is a bright 13yo A/B honor roll student who enjoys school, playing the piano, bass and video games with his twin. Trent was recently diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of leukemia,  called Natural Killer Cell Leukemia. There are only about 30 documented cases WORLDWIDE.  Trent will need a life-saving bone marrow transplant in the near future. However the need for Bone Marrow from those of African descent (Cape Verdean, Caribbean,  Mixed race, African American, etc) is ESPECIALLY GREAT! As donations are only about 4-7% in our community.  We've learned so much about cancer in this process. One of the things we now know is that it's NOT a blood type match, but an HLA Tissue Type match that is needed.  Our family & friends are working with:" Be The Match" so that Trent and others can find a matching donor to make their transplant possible. We need more donors, who come from the African American and Multi-ethnic community, willing to support Be The Match and help make life saving Bone Marrow transplants possible for Trent and others.

Trent has been in UNC Childrens Hospital since March 10, 2015 and will remain there for months to come. My name is Sis. Charlene and Trent along with his family and I  attend New Beginning Christian Church in Fayetteville, NC.  I personally know the cost of a child being  in UNC Childrens Hospital as my daughter spent many nights there too. It's not cheap and along with the daily expenses of food/parking fees for his family which is there in the hospital with Trent daily begins to add up.  His Mother isn't able to work during this time but as we all know, bills continue to come regardless of who's working and who's not. So we are asking first  for your prayers for God to heal Trent and allow him to share his testimony with others and second we are asking that you will help this family in their time of need.  It dosen't matter how small or large of a gift that you give just please know that we are so grateful to you for your gift and will continue to  pray for you all.

Trent along with his twin brother and his parents would  like to thank you from the bottom of their hearts.

Blessed to be a blessing-Team Trent

We recently found out that Trent's brother is not a match for him which makes this more crutial that we get people registered to be donors. Our church is working with the "Be The Match" Donor group and they will be in Fayetteville, NC  at the Cross Creek Mall on May 2, 2015. Please come out and get registered, this is a beautiful life we are talking about.

Thank you,
