Summer Camp for Refugees

Let's help recently resettled refugee families send their children to summer day camps at the Ys in Wayne and Elizabeth!  We're aiming to help fund 15-20 children for a two-week session in August.

Please donate whatever you can by July 25 -- Camp starts in early August!

Donations will go to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund at Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Montclair.  The fund is administered solely by Rabbi David Greenstein and is  separate from the congregation's finances or budget and totally dependent on donations. The fund is used for aid to the needy, social action ,and other causes at the Rabbi’s discretion.  The Rabbi has agreed to use donations to this GoFundMe campaign for the purpose of helping children of refugee families attend summer camp.  Any excess funds will be used for the general welfare of the refugee families.

Because any donation to the fund is outside Shomrei it will not be included in the synagogue's tax statements at the end of the year.
