Stepping Stones Winter Survival

Tax deductible

STEPPING STONES RIDING PROGRAM
The Stepping Stones Riding Program (SSRP) operates as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with officers. It is dedicated to rescuing horses with uncertain fates and pairing them with disadvantaged individuals to the mutual benefit of both.

Stepping Stones Riding Program was created with the intention of having a ranch that welcomed horses needing a home and people needing horses. To fulfill its mission, public lessons are offered. These lessons provide the funds necessary to offer a full riding and horse care program to those unable to pay for experiences with horses.

STEPPING STONES CARES
-20 kids are provided reduced cost lessons per week.
-100 free lessons are provided annually.
-Lessons are provided at no charge to clients of Many Mansions, a local nonprofit organization that provides low income housing.
-Lessons are provided at no charge to the residents of the HOMES organization that serves adults with mental illness.
-Over 250 kids per summer experience riding at the Conejo Valley YMCA Summer Camp for no additional cost.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Being a non-profit equestrian program, Stepping Stones Riding Program relies on full pay lessons to pay for expenses such as feed. The weather this winter has required many of those lessons to be cancelled due to wind, rain and mud.  Both our cash reserve and the hay reserve is running low and needs to be restocked. This is a concern not only for daily feeding, but also because older rescue horses need more feed during the winter to keep weight on.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
If you have a love for horses and kids, we ask you to please consider making a donation to purchase hay this winter. Your support will allow SSRP to continue providing lessons at reduced and no cost for those unable to afford these equestrian experiences.

The herd is currently eating 3 bales of hay per day.

$18 feeds 14 horses for one meal.

$36 feeds the entire herd for one day.

$252 provides feed for one week.

OR make a donation of any amount that is in your heart. Bales of hay are $12 each at this time.

Thank you for your generosity! All donations are tax deductible. Non-Profit Tax ID #: 45-4069867
