Hi friends!
My name is Hannah Sells, I am a Senior at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY pursuing a major in Broadcast News and a minor in Cultural Anthropology.
I have recently been accepted into a study abroad program through the Cooperative Center for Study Abroad and WKU and I am STOKED. This is a two week long program in which I will be able to apply my broadcasting and anthropological experience in… LONDON!!!
Here is a description of the course I have selected:

Beyond the Selfie: Exploring London to Communicate Inward and Outward Journeys via Multimedia Storytelling
Travel writing in London is a unique opportunity to traverse the world in one setting. Exploring historical sites, cultural centers, new media settings and some of the world’s best international cuisine will challenge students to critically examine how travel and encountering other cultures impact how we relate to ourselves and others. We will investigate how travelers throughout history have documented their experiences using photography, journals, video, essays and documentaries and in turn learn how to document your own for both private growth and public consumption. The class challenges students to find the best tools to communicate their inward and outward experiences beyond selfies.
For those of you who really know me (and my dreams of having my own show on the Travel Channel one day) you know that this course is right up my alley.
This trip is like a dream come true for me, to be honest. I have wanted to study abroad since my Freshmen year of college and I really and truly thought I would never be able to… until now. This will be the first time I travel out of the U.S. and it will be just the start of many more adventures I plan to have in the future (that I will hopefully be able to afford without a GoFundMe).
If you are totally against donating or don't feel comfortable with it, then put me to work! I am not asking for handouts, I am not trying to beg for money, and I am not trying to guilt trip you into helping me fund this at all… BUT If you need a pet sitter, a baby sitter, a house sitter, a videographer, a photographer, a yard mower, a house cleaner, a meal cooker, or anything else you think I could do for you between now and December 25th… I’m your girl!
Alllllllllll of that being said, I created this to help make my study abroad dream become a reality. If you are able to donate, whether big or small, I am sincerely grateful for your generosity. But regardless of your donation, I appreciate that you took the time to read this all the way to the end.
