Thank you for considering making a donation towards keeping this beloved and therapeutic pick your own flower garden and tea house growing, open, and available to the Upper Valley community.

Located in the heart of the Cornish Art Colony, the tea house is an actual original Cornish Art Colonist painting studio: William Ladd Taylor: built in 1910. The property is steeped in Cornish Art Colony history.

We want to thank all of our supporters who donated last spring! With your kind and generous donations, we purchased a 10' by 20' greenhouse and a floral refrigerator! We are excited to get them up and running again for this season! So wonderful to have the greenhouse already up and ready to go after a long snowy winter. Again, thank you all for your donations last year. This coming Friday, we will be in the greenhouse planting thousands of seeds. Bliss. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

The new greenhouse is up and it's filled to capacity with over 150 trays of seedlings (flowering annuals just right for our pick your own cutting garden, pumpkins, gourds, peonies, dahlias, basil, mint, poppies, delphiniums, etc.). We are thrilled. The greenhouse is working beautifully. Made this little youtube slideshow for you to show you where your donation has gone! Dan and Eliza (one of FFHeath's grand daughters) worked HARD putting it up. Took 2 people 7 hours! I just supervised and took pics! Ha! The music is a live recording of my father's one and only ALL Fenno F. Heath, Jr. compositions and arrangements concert at Woolsey Hall, Yale University, 1992, performed by his beloved Yale Glee Club. He's Got the Whole World in His Hands...seems fitting to use a Yale Glee Club piece for the sound track as this garden was created in Dad's honor. The lengthy thunderous applause the Glee Club receives at the end...that's for YOU ALL! Thanks again for your donations to our community flower garden and tea house. I will keep you updated with little youtube vids as time goes on. ~Peggy xo

Yes. Our pick your own flower farm is run on donations. Patrons come, pick flowers in exchange for their donations, whatever they can afford. This means that picking flowers on our farm is not just for the well to do...it's for everyone. A morning or an afternoon of peace and beauty...moments like this should be available to everyone. That's what we believe and so far, because of our faithful patrons' and our friends' really kind and wonderful donations (of any size), the garden continues to bloom for us all. This is our sixth summer! It's a very unique financial model, but so far, it works nicely and has been a pleasant surprise for all who find themselves at The Song Garden. Thanks for donating and keeping this very special place going for another season!

It was during Dad's memorial service at Battell Chapel/Yale University March 28th, 2009 that I had the epiphany to honor him and his life with a pick your own flower garden, which would be a place of healing for my mother and family and for others...I stared at this memorial arrangement through my tears and said to myself/him that I would dedicate my coming summer with Mom to creating the largest memorial 'living' flower arrangement on our family land that I could possibly make...so that he might see it from Heaven looking down...This gorgeous arrangement pictured here, was not big enough...thus sprang the seeds of The Song Garden and we set to work. Little did we know how the community would embrace the garden and how we'd still be going strong six years later. Thank you for considering a donation.
Flower arrangement that started it all..

Loved seeing the garden. I am so happy that your mom got to walk around in it. Seems like something a Heath sister might do--create not only musically but a beautiful garden.

It's all I can spare at the moment, but will pass on more as I can. Wonderful, joyful place!
