We decided to have an awards show - a fundraiser for Yorkie 911 Rescue. Something new and different for our pet community. We want it to be just like the Oscars! We are asking for funding to help make sure that the venue gets paid. Sure, we are selling tickets, but you know that it is not guaranteed that the right amount of tickets will get sold - even though we have our fingers crossed. Anything over will cover the expenses and then goes directly to Yorkie 911 Rescue.

SOCIETY PAWS AWARDS - the Oscars for Dogs - TO BE HELD AT ZANGER HALL IN NYC
Nominees were announced June, 2017 for the Society Paws Awards – the Oscars for Dogs – a fundraiser for Yorkie 911 Rescue.
On Sunday, September 17, 2017, from 3pm to 8pm, Society Paws Awards will be held at Zanger Hall, 347 West 34th Street in New York City. Pups can bring their leashed and well behaved parents to the ceremony. We expect more than 125 pups and pawrents to attend the event.
With categories such as Fashion Forward Pup, Twitter Pawsonality, Instagram Pawsonality, Facebook Pawsonality, Rescue Favs, and Pawtographer – Professional, Pawtographer – Candid, Photogenic Pup, Pawpular Pup, Challenger Award, Long Distance Nyer and Honorary Pup, a fun and exciting time is to be had by all. A panel of judges, who will remain anonymous, have voted for the winners of each category and the winners will be announced at the event. The purple carpet opens at 2pm for pictures and interviews of the nominees. Press is welcome to attend
