Shelter Building Trip to Nepal
Donation protected
All,
I have the opportunity with my church, Heartland Baptist Fellowship, to be part of a last minute group going to Nepal to help build shelters for people in the outlying areas of Kathmandu. This is very important work as there are thousands of people without shelter after the 7.9 magnitude earthquake killed 3,000 and left hundreds without shelter. My church has teamed up with a group from Nepal that will be in charge of the project itself. This is a very last minute trip as we hope to complete many shelters prior to the quickly approaching monsoon season. Our goal to depart for India on the 16th of June.
I have been approached by Heartland Baptist Fellowship leadership team to be a part of this great mission. However, I am stepping out of the box of traditional church support and seeking the provision of my needed funds from you, my friends and family. My goal is to raise $4,000 by June 12. This amount will cover the cost of my airline tickets, passport, food and shelter while in India. Additionally, I will be taking leave without pay from my employment, a small portion of the funds will also provide for the needs of my wife (Toni) and our children while I am away.
I am leaving this is the Lord's hands. If it is His will that I go, He will provide quickly and efficiently all needed funds. Anything in addition will be applied to help other team members, for building materials, or whatever the giver designates..
In the event that I do not receive the needed funds or for some reason am unable to travel, I will ask that anonymous gifts be applied to help the rebuilding project in either supplies or travel needs or other team members (or you can designate how you would like the donation applied). If you provide your name and address and wish to have any unused donations returned to you or applied to a specific need, please designate this as well. Please know that there is a small percentage that cannot be recouped due to the fees of using this site.
Please donate what you feel lead to donate. If you can't donate a monetary gift prayers will be much appreciated
