Shalom's hearing needs your help.

Shalom is a 7yr old, profoundly deaf child. I met her 3 yrs ago when her Mum came to Britain to study business. Shalom was diagnosed as deaf and given a cochlear implant. She heard sound for the first time and started communicating using speech and sign language. Since 2015 she has been back in Nigeria where there is no cochlear implant care (they need regular maintenance, mapping and replacement parts). Shalom's implants have broken so many times and the warranty for replacements from the cochlear company runs out in a matter of weeks. Extending the warranty will cost $1000 a year - money they just don't have. Shalom's family are concerned that she will be back in a world of complete deafness if they don't change her situation. 
Shaloms mother is desperately trying to raise funds so that she can create some stability for shalom's future and hearing.  
Please would you support this remarkable family who would do anything to see Shaloms hearing protected. She is an intelligent and delightful child who just happened to become my daughter's best friend when she attended the same deaf school during their time in the uk.
Money raised will go towards extending her warranty and specialist medical follow up in the U.K., when necessary, which would need to be funded privately.
