UPDATE!! 05/22/17 ~ The Need Continues to Grow
My heart breaks every single day when I am made aware of the plight of senior pets as uncaring humans continue to abandon them or dump them at shelters when they are somehow deemed to be "a burden". I find this to be completely unacceptable.
Shameless owners dumping their senior pets at a shelter, or God forbid, on the side of the road, leaving them lost, confused, frightened and alone. Rarely is there a valid reason. There are many stories that have reduced me to tears, anger, heartache, and that helpless feeling of wishing I could do more. I'm on a mission to do more, but I need your help!!
Though I have been using donations received via Senior Pet Project to assist senior pets at-risk, that just doesn't seem to be enough anymore. There needs to be a better network . . . . more foster homes, more education, and a direct pipeline to some of the worst shelters that refuse to revamp their high-kill policy. There IS a better way. However, until that changes, I will continue to utilize the donations from this fund to help those senior pets who are in immediate danger.
The process of setting up a 501(c)3 (non-profit) foundation for Senior Pet Project is in the works, and the money raised for this project will be used to continue rescuing at-risk senior pets.

I miss you every single day and wish you were still here to see our project come to fruition. ♥
