Help Seek The Reason to Record!
Hi everyone!! Seek The Reason here! First off, I would like to say thank you for checking our page out! I also want to announce that we finally found a bass player! We want to welcome Chris to our family!
So why are you here? Well simple. We need money! There is no easy way to say it, and there is no way to beat around the bush about it. Music is our passion and we really want to get some high quality songs to start sending out!
So, how are we going to use the money? We wish to record at the world famous Bieler Bros Studio, and we can! Only we need $2,250 to reserve our slot! This is for 6 days worth of recording. The other $250 is for travel and food.
Lodging you ask?? We are going to be camping out! We are going to pick ourselves a nice plot in the woods, get us a bonfire going and a couple acoustic guitars, and just live!

EJ, Josh, Mike and Chris have enough original music to head to the studio! As many of you know, we released a four song EP titled: New Beginnings. We plan to revamp those four songs, as well as our new songs, and debut our New Beginnings full length album!
Seek The Reason began as a group of guys, all from different musical backgrounds. We have a unique blend of sounds, and a very original style!
We would first like to say thank you for the opportunity, big or small! Music is not just a hobby for us, this is our life. We eat, sleep and live for music. We have a very powerful message we want to get out to the world, but with very limited resources it's hard to get off the ground. We are looking for that one chance to prove we aren't just another band. They always say if you hate your job, it's just "work", but if you love what you do, you will never "work" another day in your life. We work harder doing what we do to survive than a lot of other people. Making time for music is very hard, but we will go to extremes to get together and just live in our reality - music. Fortunately, we are that one in a million band that just 'clicks". When we get together we don't just rehearse and force music. We hit record and we just play music to escape from this routine reality we live in.
We are a family at heart, so making music just comes naturally. We also all come from different backgrounds of music. Our guitarist, Josh, came from a post-hardcore background but wanted to transition into more of a pop rock sound. He has an amazing knack for creating different and unique chords and progressions. Our singer, Mike came from a melodic alternative band. Before our band he only dabbled in vocals. We brought him on as our lead vocalist for his passion and creativity. We have an amazing bassist, who came from a heavy metal background, Chris. I, EJ, have been playing drums since I was 8. I have always been a structured drummer. I have timing and flow and have played with a click track since day one. My background was always punk rock and pop rock. I played rudimental snare drum (on a pad) before I started playing to music. Iv always had a drum set but my practice pad was where my success came from.
One day we all met, its a very long story, and I hope one day we can share it with you, and we blended our genres. What we created that first day has stuck with us and has not changed much. That first song is our most popular amongst all others. It brings four people, with four different walks of life together to start a new family, or band as many people call it. That song is called New Beginnings which I have the honor of sharing with you. This song has had such a huge impact on my life as it was the first time my music reached a different level. We hope to share that with you in person. The thing I love the most about this band, is that as your listening, every song sounds different. We weren't about making music to one genre, and we didn't try to force anything, we just went with what our hearts put out that instant.
Currently, we are not under any label, we are self managed, but we like it that way. Unfortunately, being self managed means money is very, very tightIf you are still reading, thank you. We hope to have the honor of talking to whomever this reaches, and hopefully the honor to play for you live to show what true passion really is. We really hope you have taken the time to listen to our music before you made a decision!
