Secret Paris is a unique look at the City of Light
through the eyes of novelist Juliette Sobanet. She explores the hidden and lesser-known parts of Paris through the stories her characters tell. Whether it's an American woman who falls in love with a Frenchman or a Parisienne who worries her lover may be unfaithful, the stories take us to romantic locations all over the city.
The series will premiere on Youtube in October but you can see the trailer here now. We've filmed several episodes in Paris plus interviews with other authors who write about the city. They talk about unusual experiences and events such as sleeping overnight at the Shakespeare and Company bookstore or the Paris apartment abandoned since World War II only to be opened seventy years later, a veritable time capsule. Or even dining seven stories underground or overdosing on chocolate with Patrick Roger, the most famous chocolate maker in France.
Editing is almost complete, but we need two more days filming in Paris to tell our fasciniating stories.
The funding will go to the actors and camera crew in Paris and the final editing. Our crew is half female and très French! Any contribution of $5 or more will help. Merci
