Team 55 was started 5 years ago by Dave and Heather Pogue, with the Canadian Mental Health Association and Adam Scott Lions junior football team, following the suicide of their son and Lions' alumnus Mitchell Pogue.
Scruffy, (Jonathan Lopes), is a grade 12 student currently attending Adam Scott C.V.I. Last year, Scruffy ran a mental health fundraiser entitled "Purple Scruffy" and raised over $500.0 in under two weeks for DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance). This year, Scruffy aims to surpass that.
Together, Adam Scott C.V.I & YouTube's Scruffy are raising money for suicide awareness and prevention. Every single day, approximately 3000 people take their own lives due to depression and other mental health issues. With your donation, we can tackle suicide awareness.
The event will run from November 7th - November 21st
With a $50.00 donation or more, you'll recieve a free Scruffy + Team 55 t-shirt.
All proceeds will go directly to the charity.
