Scott Schoenthal's Circle of Love
Imagine being 33 years old and being told you have cancer, again, for the third time in your young life. Except now, at this moment you have a wife and two children under 5 to support. You have a brand new job you've longed for, but now your reality has drastically changed.
Scott Schoenthal is my brother-in-law and he is a survivor, a fighter. But to do that he needs us to help keep the stress of life down as much as possible. Please join us as we attempt to offset medical expenses and daily life home expenses while he is out of work fighting this. Thank you

I love him.
So chemo is going. This could be his final round. Scans and blood work next week. We have lots to discuss with his doctors. Things are a little up in the air, but I still have this feeling that there's hope on the horizon. It's true that he may not be finished, but he has done so well through this chemo that many people don't make through 6 rounds of. He's finishing his tenth. Incredible.
Scott is turning 36 in a couple of weeks. We WILL be celebrating. Taking a break from life as a family and enjoying a weekend in Chattanooga.
The past few months have been very tough. Adding to our own stress - death, anger, media, fighting, sadness, etc - all of it. I think I let it overwhelm me and forget that there's good. Something's gotta give, but you have to pay attention. Try to put yourself in others' shoes... There's a lot going on that we are ignoring or feeling lack of control over. What you can control is showing some love. Nothing screams STOP more than an act of love.
Pray for someone. Hug someone. Tell someone hello. Smile and tell someone you like something about them. Appreciate someone out loud. We have got to stop removing ourselves from each other. We are never going to get through this without each other and without love. So LOVE today. In honor of Scott, do it.
I love you. Yes, you. And I appreciate you. My family is whole because of you. Thank you ❤

Scan Update from Misty Schoenthal :
Can't sleep so thought maybe typing it out would help. After scan results on Monday, we found out Scott has 3 areas of concern. One in the brain, one on the lung, one on the kidney. Stereotactic radiation is in the works for the brain lesion. Apparently it's a one time deal, high dose laser focus directed to this one spot. After that, we'll probably wait for the results of the genetic testing going on in New York... But looks like chemotherapy maybe in the future. I can't tell you how upset this makes me for Scott. He seems to be happier now that there's a plan. Waiting is the worst. Very thankful for all the people who love us and help us through these tough times. We would fall apart without you all and each other.
Scott stay strong we all love you and pray for you and your family....
