Alfred University SAE Baja

Alfred University SAE Baja also known as Saxon Racing is a student run organization at Alfred University that competes in the Society of Automotive Engineers' Collegiate Design Series.  Every year since 1989 students have designed, built, and competed an off road vehicle at various locations across the United States.  Last year we travelled to Gorman, California and, with the help of our generous sponsors, we finished 25th overall.  This was a drastic improvement over our 2016 result in Rochester, New York which was 92nd overall.  For the 2017-18 season we will be traveling to Maryland and Kansas to compete and hope to improve our standing yet again to meet our goal of a top ten finish.

Competing in both competitions will give students the chance to validate and refine the design within the same year.  With the extra registration fee, we need help with resources and parts in order to finish the vehicle and attend both competitions.   Attached is a detailed parts list of all the parts needed to finish the build.  Any help with machining and manufacturing are also appreciated. All monetary donations will go towards parts on the list and donors will receive a thank you package, a spot on the vehicle, and recognition on our social media pages and website.  The first competition is in April and we need to be done manufacturing the vehicle in March.  Thank you for your support!
