Alfie’s Fund

Alfie was rushed to the emergency vet yesterday as she was very lethargic with pale gums, high fever and uncontrollable diarrhea. Her diagnosis is still pending awaiting test results. Her blood work shows elevated white cell counts and she is hypoglycemic. What’s causing her to crash is still unknown. I was given the high estimate of $4000 yesterday and today 2 more tests costing $850 was added to the bill today.

Sweetest little thing came to me a day old and has always been the smallest of the lot. She weighs only 2 lbs and 10 oz at 5 months age.  She was hospitalized just over a month ago with a viral infection that caused high fever and racked up a bill of $1400 in 4 days. She came home happy and healthy and now this.

Rescue work is expensive and it adds up. As an independent rescuer I can only do so much. I can give my time, open my home to all the resued cats, bottle feed neonates around the clock but my resources are very limited when it comes to finances.
