Rosie Needs a Second Chance at Love

Two-years ago, dog behaviorist and rescuer Cheri Lucas was part of a television show called "Leader of the Pack with Cesar Millan" in Spain. She rescued a darling Staffie from a shelter in the UK named Rosie. As part of the show, a wonderful woman adopted Rosie by the name of Debbie Cole who has loved and adored her these past two years. But Debbie's health has declined severely over the last year and she can no longer care for Rosie. This is breaking Debbie's heart. Debbie is a two-time cancer survivor, but is now suffering from severe Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia and is scheduled for a second hip replacement. After many months of unsuccesfully trying to re-home her in England, we have decided to fly her from the UK to California to be with Cheri at Second Chance at Love Humane Society.
Second Chance at Love Humane Society was founded by Cheri Lucas 22 years ago. It is an all-volunteer run, no-kill dog rescue that has paced over 5,000 dogs. They primarily rescue and care for dogs that have no other options: Pit bulls, senior dogs, dogs with major behavioral issues. But Second Chance is struggling financially and does not have the funds to transport Rosie here and continue to care for her without financial help. Her transportation cost alone is $2,000. And of course she will require care for her lifetime.
Please help us help Rosie and Debbie. Rosie deserves a Second Chance. She's an amazing dog who lived the first part of her life in a horrendous conditions.
