Save Narnia
Working for a Miracle...
We need your help, to save a magical piece of property in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. Developers want to bulldoze this land full of trees, some well over 100 years old, sauguaro cacti, hawks, owls and tranquility to turn it into another bunch of track homes.
Why is it named Narnia? From the moment you pass through the gates, you are transformed from a typical city suburb, to a land unlike any you will find in the Valley. You are no longer a stones throw from a major freeway, you are in a tranquil forest, surrounded by nature.
Our goal is to save Narnia and turn it into an educational nature preserve. This is an incredibly rare property that deserves to be saved for current and future generations. This land has endless educational possibilities and is an incredible venue for events. We have a strong business plan to support this land in its current state for years to come.
It is currently being used for students to learn about nature, our environment and STEM adventures based on creating a better future. Homeschooling families and students of all abilities join in out adventures, but our time is limited if we cannot save this property. This is currently the only FT fully secular, fully inclusive homeschool resource in the Valley. We want to extend the use of this land to outdoor Kinder and Prek programs, homeschooling coops both religous and secular, the animal pens and aviary to be shared with wildlife conservation groups, and joint programs for care and education. Fred and Wilma, the resident great horned owls could have company.
Narnia is completely fenced in, so it creates a phenominal place for kids to be able to explore independantly, even those with Autism, Down Syndrome or other cognitive disabilities. It is a place where parents can allow their children to be kids, to explore, interact and have fun, in nature.
We need this money for down payment within 30 days or the developers will begin dismantling these amazing buildings to begin the development process. Our students do not want this to happen. This oasis deserves to be saved.
Narnia is a place built by love. We would love to see it continue in love, and not destruction.

Please do not let this house, built out of the neverending love of a husband for his wife, turn into this. 
This amazing kitchen is used for cooking classes for kids of all abilities, including Autism & Down Syndrome. 
Every tree planted on this property was planted by a son for his dying mother. They have both since passed on, and I hate to think of all of the love and hard work that has gone into making this place such a beautiful, peaceful retreat from the city and the desert, turn into just another row of cookie cutter houses.
