Critical aid for Dorje Tsering

My name is Urgyen, and this morning, I woke up to a devastating news from India.

Dorje Tsering, a 16 year old Tibetan burned himself in protest against China's rule in Tibet. One after another, more and more graphic pictures and videos starting popping up on Facebook. But Dorje Tsering needs real medical help now more than anything. And his family needs counseling and support.

It is deeply shocking and saddening that a minor felt this was the only way he could express himself, and I personally can’t ever see this as a way for a Tibetan youth to serve our cause. But right now, my priority is to raise money for Dorje Tsering who is suffering immensely, with doctors reporting 95% burns around his body and stating his condition is critical. Please donate what you can at this critical time.

My aim is to raise $10,000 right away for immediate expenses, and will provide further details as we receive it. The funds will be channeled through a trusted contact in Delhi and directly allocated to alleviate expenses for Dorje Tsering and his family.

We need to show solidarity and join together at this time for a Tibetan youth who needs it the most. This is the best way to respond to this heartbreaking tragedy right now. More than graphic pictures or videos, an appeal for his urgent aid needs to go viral.
