The park owner is forcing a condo conversion that would potentially cause home owners to lose most of the equity in their homes and would circumvent local rent control to residents that cannot afford to buy. This conversion would do away with the rent control leaving many homeowners with a mortgage as well as uncontrolled space rent, possibly forcing people out of their homes.
