Savannah Memorial Fund

Savannah Michele Hyden's short time on this earth came to an end January 8, 2014 at just 11 years old. Savannah went into cardiac arrest January 6, 2014 due to complications from H1N1 flu. She is the 2nd child to die from the flu in Tennessee this flu season. Her father performed CPR until the ambulance arrived, but Savannah had to be resuscitated again and was sent to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital via Lifeflight. She was placed on life support and unresponsive. On January 7th a CT scan showed extreme swelling to her brain and EEG showed no brain activity. The amount of time she received CPR caused her brain to go without oxygen for much too long. On January 8th Savannah showed no physical response to when doctors tested for brain activity and was declared brain dead. Life support was doing all the work for her so it was time for us to say goodbye. Savannah was in 6th grade at Knox Doss middle school. She is the daughter of Natasha Renee and Steven. At just 30 and 31 years old  they should not be saying goodbye to their 11 year old daughter. Savannah lived a full life and was the most vibrant soul in any room she graced with her presence. She was full of character and timeless wisdom at such a young age.

She did not have health or life insurance; any donation is so very greatly appreciated.  We do not know total expenses at this point. Prayers for strength for her friends and family are very much needed.
