I have started a donation for my best friend, Sara Chlystun Santeramo. I have known Sara since I was 3 years old (35 years) and Rich since I was 17 years old (21 years) and I cannot express in words how amazing this family is and how much I love them. Sara, Rich and their 5 children have lost their home in Wantagh, NY to Hurricane Sandy. They are currently staying scattered throughout 2 states, so they aren't even together.


Sara is a teacher in Garden City, NY and Rich teaches in West Islip, NY. They are currently trying to find a place to stay in the area to keep their children in their school and be able to be close to their schools that they work at to resume teaching.


The Santeramo family has lost everything and now needs to start over, which includes finding a new place to live. This website has been designed to help them do just that, start over. From pictures to furniture, mementos to towels, it all needs replacing. While we all know someone, and thousands are hurting from this disaster, but this is one way to help a family directly. Please take a moment to donate what you can to this wonderful family, as they will need all the help that they can getting situated.
